Bennett knew he was a good player and knew he would be able to take him to st merge for cheap (you lose a fair bit of bargaining power when you openly admit your current club doesn't want you). When he took him to newcastle he was arguable the best fullback in the game, why wouldn't he take him? If Boyd comes back here it will be because Bennett feels that he brings something this current squad doesn't have, not because he has to bring him [/QUOTE]
