Your defense argument continues to be invalid... halves have never been recruited for their defensive ability. We had one of the biggest speed bumps ever wearing the 6 for many years in our team. Besides, it's not like we're better off with Niko and Mifl in the halves. Boyd is certainly very good at directing the defense, but he hasn't show desperation or willingness to put his body on the line for a long time (way before his hammy issues). P.S.
