We had several players have their best ever season that year and were very lucky with injuries. Other than that, We haven't ever really been a heavy weight since Lockyer retired. I think Bennett has a lot to answer to, and so does Paul White because honestly, coaching staff coming and going mid season, and very questionable recruitment choices (Like honestly not a single club in the NRL would have signed Boyd for $750k a season for 4 seasons, NOT ONE, especially considering his contract was finalised AFTER he did his hamstring).
