[QUOTE="WASSHHH, post: 2932603, member: 9424"] Good article and good to see someone going against the grain of the normal tripe served up. He certainly has earnt the right to be treated with respect, no one can question that. That said, I expect some to disagree with what I’m about to say. But in life, no one is exempt from warranted critique. Objectively; win percentages mean very little in the end, just like player stats. Ultimately, the success of sporting teams (players, coaches etc.) is measured on how many trophies they win. If I coach Origin and win 1/3, 1/3 and then 3/3, I have a win percentage of 55.55% but only 33.33% series wins. Clearly, 55.55% sounds much better than 33.33%, which really wouldn’t be considered successful. The fact Bennett hasn’t won a premiership since 2010 says a lot. If you’re truly honest, with the team we had, the Broncos really could have won more premierships in the 90’s and should have in the early 2000’s. To be there or thereabouts every year he’s coached the Broncos, but to not convert more of those into true success, says just as much as a win percentage in the mid 60’s. No, you cannot win them all, but we should have won more - like 2015. We put the cue in the rack and failed to win a game we had won with 10 to go. This is not a witch-hunt, and none of this takes away from a great and very successful coaching resume. But the Broncos haven’t tasted true success since Bennett has been back. He has entirely remodelled the roster how he wants it (and barring a few, it is a roster most other coaches would take in an instant), has the staff he wants and is the head coach (with more control over the club than any other coach would have) - so the results are as much on him, if not more, than they are on the players.
