[QUOTE="Organix, post: 3152346, member: 8187"] I really think he couldn't win in any situation. He says nothing, the media roasts him as being scared, not having answers, etc. He fronts up and he is made to look stupid, he's making excuses etc. It's just a game to the media. He's young and doesn't have the authority and presence of Bennett, Stuart etc. The Broncos had structure until they were completely rolled by the 6-again calls very very early in the first match after a restart that saw them going from playing the Titans (a young, struggling team) to the Eels (the chosen team of the NRL this season) that pumped them last time. They lost faith and were obviously not training in the corona pause. That game was followed by the defending premiers, a team that has played together for years and were also given early penalties that completely broke the spirit of the young team. Then Darius and Milford gave up and played silly buggers and the young squad floundered. In hindsight it's very easy to say he should have done this or that. I'm also sure he was confident that Fifi would stay, because he ALMOST DID despite being offered absolutely stupid money. I'm pretty sure if he came out and said something like "well that's David's decision" the media would have turned it to "Seibold not confident Fifi will stay". I'm taking a step back and thinking about how I would feel and act, were in Seibold's shoes, with no real experience under the blowtorch and with a young talented squad who are struggling through injury, playing out of position, not having good leadership from those that should be stepping up and also being peppered by "supporters" and the media. As if Seibold hasn't advised against going on social media. As if he hasn't begged for Milf and Boyd to step up. I would struggle. I would try my best and I would also look a little lost as to where the answer lies. I don't think he expected to be undermined by Boyd, Milford and possibly Glenn from the start. I think he thought he was coming to a club of professional athletes who would not have an attitude of "I'm getting paid big bucks, I'm untouchable and if you try it, I'll run crying to Whitey or the Media".
