Coates was named today to make his NRL debut on the wing against the Sharks on Sunday afternoon, after travelling to Newcastle last week as 18th man to experience an away trip at the top level. The Currumbin product dazzled with his step and speed in a Man Of The Match performance for Queensland Under 18s last month in a 34-12 win over New South Wales, before being named for his international debut in the Papua New Guinea Kumuls squad.
