Inglis was 17 on debut for Norths v Wynnum round 7 and scored two tries. 2004- 6 ISC games 8 tries and 6 goals. In Colts- 14 tries and 42 goals including a try and six goals in the GF. Qld U17 2005- 12 ISC games 18 tries and 39 goals. Qld U19- two of the best tries ever for Qld. Coates got two tries on debut for Tweed too and was MOTM for Qld U18. Both Herbie and Coates have shown tremendous improvement in 12 months. Coates last year for Qld- 83 meters and just physically not there bar one run. This year second half 218m. Just a different physical contest. Against the Pride he judged the situation really well and scored two tries, just being in the right spot. Good hands and came in when he had to, then second try stayed out and got the pass to run away untouched. In the Test I thought his defence was excellent, he showed that when things aren't going his way attacking wise he can still stay involved in games, same as the first half for Qld this year. Even going back to the Souths trial this year in Warwick, showed he was physically ready for the challenge of men then a chance comes and he runs and scores. Herbie has improved a lot, last year he would be around games but find his way a lot, I remember he broke his hand at Easts and Tweed but showed a toughness through that that was impressive. His two tries against the Capras on the back of two broken hands was tough. He's a more versatile player now- not position wise but in games he fills more roles for Norths and and has learned to read Ahearn well. Shows he's smart and adapts.
