[QUOTE="Big Pete, post: 2671857, member: 1899"] 1. Greg Inglis 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Michael Jennings 4. Dylan Walker 5. Alex Johnston 6. Johnathan Thurston 7. Cooper Cronk 8. Matt Scott 9. Cam Smith (c) 10. Aaron Woods 11. Boyd Cordner 12. Luke Lewis 13. Corey Parker 14. James Segeyaro 15. Andrew Fifita 16. Sam Thaiday 17. Trent Merrin With Billy Slater out, Greg Inglis slots into fullback. I actually pondered whether it'd be an idea to go with a Matt Moylan, Josh Dugan or James Tedesco but given the context of everything, I'm willing to stick with GI. I'm not really happy with the wing options but they're the best available with Brett Morris and Josh Mansour out of action. Only other player I considered was Sione Mata'utia and to be honest, I could live with him being selected over Johnston but went with Alex because Sione's form hasn't been as good. The forward pack was the most difficult to assemble. A couple of points I wanted to make... No Paul Gallen - Because I'm unsure if he's available. If he is then he'll get the lock spot with Parker playing infront of Merrin. No Greg Bird - You don't deserve Australian selection when you've got pending criminal charges No Ryan Hoffman - I haven't forgiven him for his performance at Suncorp Stadium in the Four Nations. Scott and Woods are among the form front row of the competition. Lewis has been a crucial member of the Kangaroos side for a long while and should be one of the first picked. Cordner is a curious selection, but I can't think of too many left fringe backrows other than Bird and Hoffman and I'm of the opinion that Thaiday is better utilised on the bench with Lewis swapping over. Also played around with the bench. Not a fan of utilities unless they provide genuine impact which Segeyaro does. I consider Fifita a better version of Klemmer, so I'm going out on a limb to bring him in. Thaiday has been a revelation off the bench and has earned himself one last Test jersey while Merrin's form has been the catalyst behind St George and he's been playing better than Papalii.
