He's kind of wasted anywhere but at hooker. He should be coming off the bench I guess, sort of a roving Lock/Hooker hybrid maybe.

Ah well, Lui bashing his missus won't attract as much attention in Townsville. Pretty sure it's accepted practice there.
 
I know he'd probably come cheaply but hopefully the Cowboys have the good sense not to play him and stick with developing Ray Thompson who was improving as the season wore on last year.

Carney has massive issues. Genuine, addiction issues. All this contract does is say "yes you can keep stuffing up and you will always get another chance handed to you on a silver platter". Where's the incentive to give up when people/clubs are going to keep enabling his problem?

I honestly can't believe any club would touch him with a 10 foot pole considering all the issues he's had. I couldn't care less about the Sharks and the effect it may have on them (as long as it's not my club...) but I don't believe this contract, or any contract for that matter, is in Carney's best interest.
 
Sounds like Ryles is off to the Storm as well, great to see they can continue to sign players up.
