Corey Norman is a frustrating player. He clearly has the skills to be a good half but lacks the heart and thought process to be anything other than enigmatic at this stage. However, by playing him there, we allow our other player (eg. Jordan Kahu) time to develop at his own pace and until he's able to get some more miles on his suspect legs I don't feel like we should throw him into the deep end and hope for the love of god he floats.
The only player I feel is viable is Joe Bond and even then his claims is pretty sketchy. He's been made to play in the halves again due to a number of circumstances at the Dolphins.
Brisbane would feel the NZ fullback Josh Hoffman would be another contender but our wing depth is so horrid that I feel like we need to keep him out there for our own good.
why do we have this attitude that any young players at hte broncs need to be babied into the NRL? look at other clubs. there is a heap of young talent, 18 19 and 20 year olds going around right now doing relaly well.
Absolutely he should. He's worse than any fullback or five-eighth we have had since 1988. Including those dodgy five eighth selections in 2007 when Locky went down.
His ball skills are ok but he shows no urgency, slow/lazy in defusing attacking kicks and chews up bugger all meters with slow kick returns. He does not get our sets off to a good start. At least Hoffy runs hard and chews up the meters and gets us going forward.
Commitment in defence is pretty much non existent as well.
