The Scotland squad that is....

Gold Coast Titans fullback Matt Russell is among six uncapped players named in Scotland's 23-man squad for the Rugby League World Cup which starts at the end of the month. The Irvine-born 20-year-old is one of four players in the squad who play in Australia's National Rugby League.
Brisbane Broncos halfback Peter Wallace, Gold Coast prop Luke Douglas and North Queensland Cowboys centre Kane Linnett are the others.
The Scotland squad contains 10 players who play in the British Super League.
Radio New Zealand : News : Sport : 4 NRL players in Scotland rugby league squad

Not exactly a big achievement, but good luck to him.

Great to have someone named Wallace in any Scottish team well done Peter. Great to see that more than a half of the team are Scottish home grown players a sign that Rugby League is growing internationally.

I'm pretty certain that almost ever player in the Scotland squad is either Australian or English with Scottish grandparents. from the story on the World Cup site I think the Scottish team only has one player who was born/trained in Scotland.

from the looks of it, the 'Scottish' team is about as Scottish as the 'Italian' team is Italian. rugby league might be growing internationally but it isn't happening in Scotland
