Bare with me, because I believe this is likely for more reasons than just both the Broncos and the Cowboys are currently top 4 teams.
Our resurgance as a danger club under Bennett has propelled us to be at the same place as the Cows: a dynamic team of young and old players with plenty of quality depth coming off the conveyor belt. Ben Hunt is looking more and more like the next superstar half as time goes on (fix that fucking kicking game), we all know what Milford is going to be in 5 years and 2/3rds of our current backline are current or future representative players, along with a couple of forwards.
The Cowboys have already got their superstar half in JT, who is playing the best footy of his career. Michael Morgan has only recently come into the halves, after the return of Lachlan Coote, who has proven that he is a quality fullback when his body isn't made of tempered glass, which has resulted in a pretty decent start in the halves for Morgan who is proving a much better option to Lui.
So both will keep on winning games, if their form remains true to the current course, so unless the NRL shits its pants and does its very best to separate the two clubs chances of making the Granny, the dream of every NRL fan north of the border will finally come true: The Grand Final will be an all Queensland affair in the dead centre of NSW and their fans will just have to eat it.
Oh what fun it would be.
