He was very close to playing in the first game, but the shoulder didn't heal as much as expected, but with another couple of weeks of recovery he will be all good.

He has confirmed he won't be.

He is at peace with his decision and this year will definitely be his last whether he plays or not.

The point of him retiring this year is so that he could completely focus on the Cowboys in 2018 and try to win a premiership.
