We do need some depth and he's proven to be more than adequate at NRL level.

If Reynolds misses a game here or there then Gamble can step in. If Staggs shits the bed at 6 then Gamble can move into the 6 jersey.

I think the other offers on the table are dogs and storm... dogs suggesting they want a backup if Flannigan shits the bed, so Gamble would just be back up if the $500k starter fails.

At the storm he would just be their new Ryley Jacks so most of his contract would be spent playing for the Falcons

There's a lot to like about Gamble but I think we need one half who can genuinely threaten the line and we might come up short with that combination. The top clubs have at least one threatening half.

Should sign him to a longer term deal. Get him for cheap when his stock is low but rising. Vultures are circling tho.
