What a race for the gold that was. Italy come flying home and win it in the end and break the WR.
 
Filipo Ganna guys, that is what he can do, I've been saying it for ages, he is the repeat world road time trial champion for a reason.
 
One girl through to the 1500m final, one more semi to come with another girl. They won't medal but still a cool achievement.
 
Two Aussie girls into the 1500m final! The second one lead the whole race and still came over third without looking exhausted, impressive.
 
Aussie girl Gregson is coming up in the steeplechase final in 5 minutes, not expected to medal but again, gotta be in it to win it!
 
DNF for Gregson, popped something on one of the last hurdles but was well out of it. Well done on making the final though.

Maloney is sitting in third in the decathlon prior to the finish of the fourth event. He is smashing the high jump here and 400m to come, he will do well in that too.
