No immediate future? What does that make for half of the Sydney NRL clubs then?
A members base that is higher than their stadium capacity and still averaging almost 40,000 to their home games despite in the running for the bottom 3.
Plenty of future there.
As for Vossy, I think it's a smart...
[icon_lol1. Quite the exaggeration but it's possible in the context of play in a game though perhaps not as often as I first thought. eusa_think But the idea is there that the communication (or lack of) may be the undoing for many teams if this rule is introduced.
Right. So a player makes a line break and you've got 2 fellas hanging off him and he carries him for the next 10 metres across the the try line whilst the fullback watches? No way in hell they're going to introduce that rule. We'd have front rowers playing in all positions then.
I actually don't like the idea of playing for picks though the Hawks have done it to a lesser extent than the Blues. However, surely by developing your own young guns from your system and dominating is far more satisfying than topping up your list with draft picks. Even so, the theory of clubs...
I'm not even sure what your first line means Lachy. [icon_lol1.
The Cats still had a deficient forward line as did the Eagles in their Premiership years yet were still able to win the competition. Sydney being an exception with one of the best forward lines in the competition still won it...
Let's chop that in half. 7 out of the 15 teams at the moment seem like genuine contenders.
The Dogs showed their midfield is far superior in their ability to break open games as is the Geelong midfield. The Swans midfield are the most dominant in clearances despite their lack of pace but if...
Well Brisbane's time of dominance had a forward structure of Lynch, Pike, Brown, Bradshaw, Akermanis and Power yet they were somehow man-handled by the Power in 2004.
As was Sydney's forward line in 2006 consisting of Hall, O'Loughlin, O'Keefe, Schneider, Davis and Buchanan.
Defence often wins...
No chance. Seen it plenty of times in the past by teams who finish near the top and seem certain Premiers:
Crows in 2006/7
Eagles in 2005
Lions in 2004
Port in 2002/3
I didn't mean it that way Coxy. [icon_lol1. I was responding to Beads' comment about them stating it when they announced the side. Dropping them is perfectly fine but I don't think the club should list reasons as to why a player has been dropped!
I suppose after Manning. Though that's got more to do with Manning being able to achieve more and that's because he's been in the league for a lot longer than Brady. Both play very different styles, Manning is a lot like a player-coach on the field and directs his own set plays. Great to watch!
I don't think it's in the best interest of the club and its players to be isolating players for something like sleeping in and not showing up to training.
Brady is God. Suck on it penny! [icon_razz1 You can only dream of having a Quarterback like him.
Absolutely despise:
1. Entire West Coke (Coast) Eagles Team
2. Mark Gasnier
3. Kobe Bryant
Ah don't get yourself in a twist with this self-fulfilling prophecy rnab! [icon_lol1.
There's nothing you can control! Not even that $100 bill in your pocket! [icon_evillaugh
