A question about the brawl.

I don't think Blair will be playing any finals footy.

You can't just uppercut someone. Even if it was awesome.

See that's where a rule should be changed. Should be that you can't uppercut someone, unless they play for Manly.

Radio reports that all 26 on-field players were cited for the brawl. This HAS to result in suspensions; could really hurt the finals run of each team if the bans are for two weeks or more.

whatever the result of this is you just KNOW that nothing will be done that actually diminishes Manly's playing ranks .. there'll be "home cooking" galore in this

^ this. I expect token suspensions for g Stewart and Blair, and big fines to both clubs, but no other action

When the Stewart's face the judiciary, I want David Gallop, to gallop through the room. (just like B Stewart did after his try a few weeks ago)

I dunno man I think the match review panel has copped a battering this year about its integrity and this is already (and rightly so) being talked about by anyone and everyone. Most importantly 95% of the talk I have read/heard has been very critical about the players especially the 2nd-5th men in from Manly so I think the NRL would be digging a very deep hole if it let those guys off with nothing or just a token fine.

If it happened in roosters v eels I agree they would act. NRL won't want to impact finals footy. Guarantee

I think Blair, Hinchcliffe, & the 5 Manly players will get a suspension.

Blair & 5 Manly players will also get fined.

Bench players who ran onto the field will cop a fine.

Yeah Hinchcliffe was fine. I'm not even sure if the elbow was intentional; it certainly didn't hit with any force. Lussick is just a girl.

I think it was intentional, but it wouldn't have bruised a grape.

Lussick over-reacted.

Sounds like the Storm were completely innocent and Manly are completely to blame??

Bit hard to tell if Lussick was in Hinchcliffe's peripheral vision so I'll give Hinchcliffe the benefit of the doubt. He did turn his head toward Lussick though.

Wouldn't say Storm are blameless. But no doubt manly the chief villains

I don't think there will be much in the way of suspensions. I don't think any of them really did anything that bad aside from the two players directly involved, and they were dealt with by being sent off.

All 26 players banned for 3 weeks, that would be awesome.

AND I LOVED THE FIGHT! Been so long since we've had a good fight and damn was it good TV watching that. I reckon Nine would have had killer ratings last night.

IF we don't make the grand final I would LOVE a re-match between those two(which is likely anyway).

Manly and Melbourne in the Grand Final? I probably wouldn't watch.

Really? As much as I hate both of those teams it would be good entertainment. They have an intense history and this match would just ad to all of it.

My ideal scenario is we thrash Melbourne 40-0 in a semi final or the grand final.

I hate both teams so much so would find it very hard to cheer for either one of them, and would find it very hard to watch either one of them lift the trophy. Last night's game just exacerbated that hate. Honestly, I love seeing a bit of biffo in a footy game, but what we saw last night was NOT good for the game, and that was a shocking game of Rugby League. So much inconsitency in the refereeing (which Melbourne bought upon themselves), and so much ejaculation over great plays by Manly when in reality the bounce of the ball just went their way all night.
