Are the Storm overrated?

Watching the Melbourne Storm last night playing without Cooper Cronk and Billy Slaterm they were playing with absolutely no go forward and the backs looked completely lost and they played with no direction whatsoever.

They were very lucky they only lost by 22-0 as the Cowboys were robbed of 2 tries and didn't execute cleanly and I thought JT was off his game a bit and NQL finished with around 60% of possession.

I personally think that the Storm are an overrated team. Just take the big 3 away from them and they've got nothing.

that's not being overrated. That is like saying that if you cut one of Messi's legs off he'd be an overrated soccer player.

Melbourne get so much respect because they have three of the best players in the NRL. if you take out two of those and injure the third I think everyone would expect them to look pretty rubbish

I think the real takeaway from this is that the Raiders are under-rated. They flogged the Cowboys who without JT and Scott looked to have no direction. Then the Cowboys hammered the Storm, who were only missing their halfback and fullback. I mean, that makes the Raiders awesome, right? Milford should definitely stay there if he wants to have the best chance of winning a premiership!

Yeah broncoman, probably not your best conversation starter ! No matter. I think what you were getting at is the expectation that the super coach Bellamy has a blueprint for performance that doesn't require superstars to execute. It's like we've come to expect that a Melbourne side performs like a Melbourne side irrespective of who is in or out and therefore it's largely down to the coach. I think it's fair to say I expected better from them than they produced and I also thought they were an ordinary side . Maybe a better title would have been ' Is Bellamy overrated '......
