It’s funny how the bunker isn’t meant to be watching games only decisions that are referred to now overruling on field decisions that they weren’t asked to look at.
Again inconsistent application of their own processes
To a point. It’s funny how the bunker isn’t meant to be watching games only decisions that are referred to now overruling on field decisions that they weren’t asked to look at.

If that was TPJ chasing a fullback he'd be on report. In this instance we never even got a penalty. Whether Milf was milking or not is irrelevant. It was an accidental/intententional/careless wack to an opponent's head and should have been our penalty.
Lexie putting his hand up to then bring it out of there with Parra sweating on a mistake was pretty ballsy. His little chip and regather before Fifita's try and the fact he was spilling blood for us last night proves he deserves another two years. If anyone wants a GF ring more than him they're welcome to it.
Can we put it here since it's about refs? Admin pls move if not allowed.
What can and can't the bunker overrule on?
The Bunker is only supposed to rule on a very select set of circumstances. Yet we have been told, and it has been confirmed via official audio, that the Bunker effectively manage the game for the full 80 minutes.
I guess my opinion on this topic is the same for the refs and the video refs. The statistics on penalties blown mean zero, without context for whichever penalties should have been blown, but weren't. I'm fucking sick of teams laying all over us in the ruck, and then the moment we lay a stray hand on the opposition for a fraction of a second, we get pinged. The game isn't about refereeing to the rules, it is about being selective as to when to apply the use of the rules in order to manage a spectacle. Even if a blatant penalty has to be blown, there will soon be a ghost penalty to square it up. If one team is ahead on the scoreboard, they will be scrutinised harder than the other team. Just as evident recently, with the amount of sin-bins, is that the refs will manage a team differently if they have 12 players. Instead of making them suffer the consequences of foul play, the refs will give them far more leeway in the rucks and let them get off their line way early, simply because they are down one player and the refs don't want the 10 minutes to be the defining period of the game (even if it deserves to be). I'm over it, there is no reward for actually following the rules, in fact you could make a strong point that the dirtiest teams prosper because the refs will always up the count.
Poll is flawed, I can't see Cameron Smiths name. I guess I'll have to go with Klein then...the corrupt flog. I mean, they've all got a few clangers in them...but nobody beats him for consistency.
isn't that all rugby league fans have been calling for![]()
it's not even a question anymore who is the worst ref.
On the field Klein is horrendous, but given Maxwell covers about 3-4 games a week and gets try scoring decisions wrong takes the cake for me.you're right ... Klein has had the spot sewn up for a long time
