You wont find another Haas, but you could find others at a cheaper price who would still be good. We dont need a million dollar prop, but i'd say we need a top level spine player. They are just more important than props are.

You are right, he has made some try savers, but losing him to make the team better wouldnt be detrimental.
If we signed a decent fullback we wouldn't need a prop making try saving tackles

Don't know if it has been mentioned, but do we offer to take Nikorima off the Warriors hands effective immediately in return we release Arthurs from the final year of his contract?

Kodi would certainly look a hell of a lot better next to Reynolds than anyone we have now. Essentially a spine of TMM, Kodi, Reynolds and Turpin/Paix for the rest of the year. As long as Turpin and Paix are rotated correctly that's a spine that could get us into the 8.

I haven’t been paying Kodi much attention but I have seen endless hate toward him Warrior fans

Hard to say. Nikorima definitely would make an okay Robin next to Reynolds's batman, but I think we currently do have the players we need to make the eight. It would just require some re arranging.

For some reason the club have had the right centre as a more offensive option and the left as a more defensive. It's a throwback to Hodges and Reed, with Bird and Roberts being in the same boat.

But if they were to tweak it and move Staggs to the left and Farnworth right, Herbie gets the ball more off Reynolds, and Staggs offensively can make up for our options at 6, allowing them to just tackle, run in support and occasionally kick like they currently do.

I haven’t noticed him much either but from memory he left here not wanting to be the 14. Ironically he’s either dropped or plays 14 with the warriors nowadays.

Yeah go over to the cross forum round chats and ask the Warriors fellas what the think of him

I feel Nikorima would work well here because of Reynolds. The Warriors don't have a game managing halfback, and that's where players like Nikorima can struggle to play to their strengths. I would happily have Kodi at five-eighth. He is easily better than Walters or Gamble. Reynolds, TMM, Paix and Nikorima would offer us a lot more creativity in attack. He is also a clever ball player and can put in some decent short kicks for his outside men close to the line. He can also cover hooker too which is a bonus considering our lack of quality options there.

No no no no no! Do you not know what Staggs best part of his game is? It’s his left hand fend. He is literally a one trick pony it’s just hard to contain. No chance would anybody at our club ever be stupid enough to do that. They should quit if they ever did that.

Okay. I'll flat out admit you're right about the left fend, but he isn't just a one trick pony. He does have a decent short range kicking game in him.

He'd of made a good go of Fullback though if his ACL wasn't of any concern.

If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Leave it alone. Don’t try and make him something he isn’t.

Right centre isn't broken, but the spine is. Lee Hoeter, Farnworth or Cobbo could all go in there and be just as effective.

Staggs is capable of playing 5/8th. And i'd rather they tried it first before going back to Nikorima honestly. Hell if need be, I'd be tempted to play Staggs at 9 as well. He's too good a footballer to just sit out wide for mine.

The reason I suggested switching centres was to try to create a running edge with Oates able to make an occasional break, and Walters, Gamble and Kelly all capable of running in support. And at least with Staggs out there, the ball would go that way.

But as I said before, I'll admit you were right about the left fend being one of his best attributes. And if he's at centre, he should be on the right.

Honestly I'm not expecting Kevie to actually do anything I'm suggesting. "Listening to the fans in the stands means you're soon going to be joining them" or something like that was the famous Bennett quote wasn't it?

Rugby league wasn't broken, then the NRL did everything they could to break it...and have been incredibly successful at it.
It was pretty well broken as refs were still manufacturing results... the entirety of 2014 for the Souths premiership being a prime example, but the constant tight scorelines between broncos vs cows being another.

NSWRL backed this up with their constant "cLosESt cOMp eVa"

Isn't it sad that I yearn for those days? It sucked but nowhere near as bad as now.
