You get him to earn it and push someone else out. We can’t be giving just handing out jerseys anymore, kids need to earn it. Sure we might lose a Walsh here and there but it will help continue to instil pride in the jersey.

The other thing is, Niu isn’t set in stone and Cobbo is flexible, so it isn’t like there isn’t a pathway there if Mariner keeps his upward trajectory.

Chasing Moylan does not make sense. We already have bit part halves and Ezra is the anointed one. We have TMM who is doing a great job at FB and probably Niu or Cobbo long term. Cobbo’s trajectory is amazing, he might even end up there next year. Plus we have Gamble and Walters is but part players already.

I don't thinknwe should full 'chase' him, but if we can get him on a good deal I wouldn't mind. Putting all our eggs in the 'up and coming players' basket is a bit of a risk. Cobbo should stay on the wing. And TMM is good, but I don't rate Niu that much.

Yeah . The Broncos voided his contract for this year because you can`t be contracted to two clubs . He apparently is still contracted to the Broncos for next year
I do think the Warriors will want to keep him . And the Broncos will let him go .

Herbie's demeanour changed and basically said he'll leave it to his manager and they'll announce something in a few weeks.

He’s not going to get from us anything close to what the phins are offering him, we already have a marquee centre on big money and Cobbo coming off contract in a year.

I’ve said from the beginning that Herbie, as good as he is, is expendable from a roster pov. It is a real shame because he’s just hitting that development milestone of 50 games where he will start bearing fruit and then we lose him.

But we have a couple options there next year with Cobbo or Lee.
