Broncos Top 25 Squad 2010

Well he isn't flash but he makes alot of metres and alot of hitups and we are really struggling for go forward at the moment. Wish we had never let Petero go!

Why the hell are people talking about getting Shane Tronc? The bloke is as average as they come.
Hes been improving every year and has been going great guns this year. Easily better than pretty much every forward the Broncos have got at the moment.

it is a moot point anyway as he has already signed to play in the ESL, IIRC.

Bugger, I didn't know that. He had to have been very close to Origin selection this year, and probably would've made it in the next year or 2.

Apparently he hasn't signed yet!

Sucks we didn't make a play for Nate Myles he's the type of player we need.

He would be good. A big strong backrower who is also at home in the forward pack. I question his club form though - he always aims up and performs out of his skin in Origin, but apart from that I have doubts.

What about Prior from the Dragons? He has been alright to average and I think is off contract next season. Isn't too shabby a player.

Got confused with Dan Hunt who has been mentioned here already. >.<

I really like the sound of turning Parker back into a prop...

Who would u bench though? Clinton/Kenny?

8. Parker
10. Clinton

14. Kenny
15. McGuire

?
If we are going to put Parker on an all pie diet over the off season then I think we should just play him as a second rower but have him running up the middle of the field rather than on the fringes. Then we can have Glenn at lock who will be dominating with his speed and footwork out wide and Thaiday at second row who can run wide and destroy like he has been lately. But I like Parker running wide too so I don't really care.

you're kidding with Setu.. he might not be showing it at the moment but this kid is from the top shelf. I'd love someone to frame this post so in 2 years time i can look back and say i told you so.

i agree with you, i liked what i saw from Setu at the Dragons, i put his form for the majority of the year down to settling into a new club and new style of play

Yeh I have been very critical with Setu this year but I think if we persist with him he will be a very good player for us.

Setu is the man to put mongrel into the Broncos pack the only problem is he isn't showing it this season... I think our squad lacks experience and size..

I <3 Setu and Te'O.

Luckily (from what I've read on here), I also haven't seen a Broncos game in quite awhile.....

I agree actually. I spose i was just being too harsh on him and didn't give it much thought. Hopefully he is like Clinton in the way that he had a shocker first year but then a good 2nd year because it took him a while to settle in if you know what I mean..

Now that I have given it more thought I actually wouldn't mind signing Setu again because he would be fairly cheap (I think). I would only sign him on a 1 year deal though with this year being his last chance.

Glad to see i'm not the only one who rates Setu despite his poor form this season.

Have we signed up Will Tupou for next season? I thought he was meant to be gangbusters.
