Rabs is still the best choice of the rest, even with his mix-ups, while Gould and Johns knowledge can be good to listen to, as long as they don't go off in tangents.
It's too soon to judge Locky, although he seems to lack vocabulary. This goes for Freddy as well, but he can be entertaining...
Wally is one dimensional and doesn't dictate terms to anyone in sports calling.
Rest Fatty and Hadley, and I hate both of them with a passion, the first probably has more to do with the footy show than anything else, but I find him to be a smug prick with a crappy sense of humor, while the latter makes my ears bleed.

I don't mind most of the channel 9 team, but Hadley annoys me how he always attempts to use smarter words for things, when it adds nothing to the commentary in the context of the game, other than maybe trying to prove he's superior that others. Eg, instead of just using a term like "ground", he'll use something like "terraferma".

When I first heard Hadley say centre three quarter I had to research what it meant. In all my years of watching Rugby League I had never heard or seen that term before.

The Channel 9 team is an old boys club that is 10 years past its used by date.

How Hadley, Ray Warren and co orchestrated the removal of Andrew Voss from the commentary team for making a comical remark about Ray Warren's statue was disgraceful. But more fool them. Channel 9 has nothing in the way of a succession plan once they played egos at dawn and dropped Voss.

Are they seriously going to put Hadley up as number one caller for Origin, Grand Finals and the like when Ray Warren dies?

I don't think Rabs had anything to do with Voss's axing. I thought he dismissed Hadley's hysteria as just that.

It was Gyngell & Hadley who were the architects of Voss' demise.

Mind you, Voss scored his own little victory against Hadley in court.

That's a disappointment. He was brilliant doing that, you could tell he actually did some research before games on the teams and young guys with nrl contracts and stuff like that. Ikin was also good in the Q-Cup but vossy really steered that shit… or ice cream van ;)
