The Roosters have sent out a mail out to the members asking for a tax-deductible donation to help the club buy gym equipment. eusa_think

Poor taste imo. If the Broncos did this I'd be pretty miffed.

Surely uncle Nick Politis could chip in, he is ridiculously rich.

The Broncos have more ingenuous methods to try and troggle money out of members pockets. I forgot what it was for, but I got a call last year where they tried to get $200 out of me... [icon_non

Yes. Memberships this and Memberships that. You don't ask outright for cash. LOL.

It reminds me of Tony Abbotts staffers mistake earlier this year.

That was for a raffle to help improve the gym I think. First prize was a car second prize was cash.

So some clubs (ie Roosters not Broncos - that was a different thing) are on such a financial precipice they need their members to donate money to upgrade gym equipment; and some people still think there is enough money in the game to expand to 18 teams.

"Yeh you beauty"
"OK cool well it sound like you are interested so tickets are $200 each....."
"Yeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh doesn't sound so good anymore hey.................."

Why would donations be tax deductible? I thought it was only for charities eusa_think I mean, I know the Roosters are a sad and sorry bunch and all, but a charity?
