Isn't the issue with what is posted in the text, the bit about the club picking up the balance? If that is not recorded on the salary cap that is where the breach is in my view. Obviously I am not saying that this has occurred or that the text is accurate, just commenting on the contents.

And if that has occurred 5-10 times, that is a fairly large cap breach and it would be fairly difficult to explain that away as being a mistake.
