Thats the thing about great players like thurston and lockyer. they bide their time until the gaps are there before injecting themself. I do find it very ironic that ppl on here claim thurston only clicks into gear late in the game, when for years and years we have been relying on a halfback to control the game at the broncos, until lockyer feels like injecting himself into the fray.
Thurston isnt an idiot, he obviously waits until the opposition is tiring before really attacking them. If you watch the game u will see the first half he is happy to pass the ball on, tired the defence, then later in the game, he runs the ball himself.
Or hes just saying "look boys, im not going to be here forever, so u guys have the first half to practice life without me, and in the 2nd half ill just win the game for us" [icon_razz1 [icon_lol1.
Spot on. Thurston, like all great players, doesn't NEED to be on for 80 minutes. Hell, 15 minutes almost put us away last weekend and that was giving them a 24-point headstart.
But if we beat the Cows by six, who beat the Panthers by eight, who beat the Raiders by like 18 points last week... we should be up for a good'un tomorrow night!?
