Sorry....mix up. I thought the golden boot was the international version of the best player award for the whole year.

It's supposed to be but if history has shown anything, it's usually weighted more towards the internationals because it's a fair measure for the English players.

I thought Sam Burgess was consistently awesome all year.

Thought George was pretty good too.

I didn't get Thurston being awarded the DallyM.....he was god ordinary for the first half of the year and had an absolute shocker of an SOO series. Once again it shows how much of a joke the award is.

Hayne was my first choice but his "I've acheived all there is to acheive in league" comment made me laugh.

Shaun Johnson IMO was only a step up (maybe two) from his usual inconsistent self. Great when he was on.....crippling to the Warriors when he was off.

Sam Burgess it is.

Burgess had one of the best years I've seen from a forward period.

Unfortunately his decision to defect disqualifies him of the award for mine.
