The bulldogs must have been having nightmares for weeks about Lockyer in that game. He was unstoppable.

It was was an amazing feeling winning the grand final, but it didn't beat the excitement of coming back against the Bulldogs. We had effectively been written off but that 2nd half was probably the best half of league I have seen from the Broncos, and it's probably the best game of Lockyers career too.

Man I miss Berrigan, one of my favourite ever players, what a machine. The way he played at hooker in 06 was simply amazing and we wouldn't have got close without him <3

The fact he managed to bench Smith in the Aus team after half a season at hooker speaks volumes of his awesomeness. Him and Hodges combining to smash the Bulldogs(with assistance from the great man of course) I will never forget how awesome those two were in 06 in the leadup and in the finals.

If Hodges can get fully fit next year and play out a season he can easily return to be the best centre in the game.

I certainly think it's ambitious to think he'll get back to full fitness and confidence this year. And he won't be able to do some of the footwork he used to.
