So when Lockyer finally decides to hang up the boots, who do you want to replace him as captain of the Broncos?

Corey Parker? Nick Kenny? Sam Thaiday? Alex Glenn? Justin Hodges even?

Interested to see your selection and why you think they would make a good captain.

Obviously Thaiday has 'that' incident hanging over him and Glenn is still a little young so i think Parker is probably in the lead right now. Hodges might be a little too over zealous as a captain, but i'd have no problem if he was. I don't think Kenny would be a bad shout either, lots of experience in the Qld Cup and a great work ethic plus off the field he contributes a lot to the community.

We have a bad record with Corey as our captain but I don't mind him. Nick Kenny would be good too!

I reckon Yow Yeh or Glenn would also be great leaders later on.

Corey Parker.
Bad record means nothing, every time he's been captain it's been with a virtual reserve grade team.

It needs to be someone who not only has a good record off the field, but can also lift their game if it's get tough. I don't really know who at the Broncos would suit that sort of role right now.

Could we have a NSW bloke as captain?

Dont count out Peter Wallace.

id like to see someone who is gonna be here for abit get it

Yow Yeh,Glenn or McCullough those 3 blokes are the future for brisbane

Not sure if I would give it to Parker. He seems like a quiet achiever on the field and I believe you want your captain to be a rep player. Sam Thaiday would be a good skipper because of his obvious passion. I hope McCullough is around long enough that one day he'll skipper. Hodges shouldn't get it simply because he and refs don't get along. As for Yow Yeh... winger.

Wallace seems cut from the same mould as Lockyer. Keeps his mouth shut and leads by example. By the time Darren has retired I think Peter will be ready to lead the club. But it seems like Corey is first in line for the throne.

Vote 1 A Glenn!!

I would agree, if Lockyer will definitely be around for another 2 years. Even then Glenn will be only what, 22? Still very young to be club captain.

Perhaps Sam Thaiday would be better as the next skipper.

Meh, I'm not even sold on Wallace being our long term halfback beyond his current contract. I think he's had 5-6 really good games in 2 seasons.

When Lockyer retires, i reckon we move Wallace to 5/8 to accommodate Ben Hunt.

6. Wallace
7. Ben Hunt
