There is no doubt Hook had flaws, as most have highlighted, especially the bulk program and his catering to certain players regardless of form, but not everything was bad, and were it not for a certain Gerard Beale, we might have had a premiership trophy in our cabinet under Griffin.
Between recruitment and a bit of a drought in the youth coming through, the last couple of years were severely conditioned by Locky's retirement and the lack of a proper dominant half, with Norman nowhere near delivering on his early promise, Hunt's timid trials, Prince being over the hill and Milford forced to stay in Canberra, resulting in the Hoggman experiment, which lasted way too long!
Even if Barba never reached the level he got to at the Dogs, he made a difference in the halves Hoggman never did... and should have been moved there much earlier imo.
Regardless, nothing was as bad as Henjak's tenure. That was definitely the most painful era as a Broncos supporter in my opinion.

My prediction is that Griffin will not see out his new three year deal. He is a very poor coach as he is unable to see the bleeding obvious. He also makes stupid decisions regarding players and then thinks it's showing his determined side when in fact it shows his stubborn refusal to accept when he is wrong. His only hope is that he may have learned a few lessons and is now ready to abandon that which does not work and try new choices. Perhaps he may thrive under Gould but Griffin would have to think, at least I've got a decent paycheque coming in and I may be able to put up with Gould looking over my shoulder and second guessing everything I do. Big cracks to appear by the midpoint of Griffins second season.

He only got the sack because Wayne was coming back. If Wayne signed elsewhere Griffin would likely still be coach.

Ha ha..rewriting history! Griffin was gone irrespective of WBs availability. He was stinking the place up and personally,I would've voted for Nashy to coach the Broncos...and he's got no idea !

With the instructions I get given in terms of design, I'd hate to see what he does to a team.
