Qld backline

He's not eligible for NSW so he won't be playing for the Queerland Blues.

I came here to talk about the QLD selections not to have an origin banter. You guys have a problem with Jhareal out because i'm not sure who would replace him, Lote Tuquri would be my pick though although it's unknown if he is still up to the job.

If you want to leave out the origin banter, learn to spell Queensland.

If our only problem is a wing spot we are doing ok. I think every position is a problem for nsw this year.

If i was a Queensland selector I would select Tuquri on the wing. Storming winger and dominated the Blues in the 2002 series.

Someone who dominated 10 years ago and hasn't played a game yet this year? Don't think he'll be in the running for Game 1. Hopefully not.

If Tonga has a good game or two for Parra (lol) then he will probably get the spot. He played on the wing a couple of years ago without issue. ANd he's the type who lifts for Origin. Also, let's not forget how he played with a busted shoulder.

Talking about lifting for Origin.. none get fired up more than Brent Tate - he's an absolute machine in the Queensland jersey. At this point I'd have it between him (even out of position on the wing), Nielsen and maybe O'Neill as a smokey.

But we've had some not so flash names on the wing over the past few years, guys like Wesser, Bell and Mogg. They've all 'done a job' for the team.

Tate is terribly injury prone and past his time. Uate would eat him for breakfast.

Slater
Tate
Hodgo
Inglis
Boyd

Id pick Tate for Yow Yehs spot, been there done that and altho he is kinda injury prone hes still experienced out there and knows what has to be done and whats expected of him

Hey, if Taylor can play on the wing then Scott and Shillo can do the job too.

I'd rather Scott/Shillo on the wing than Ashley Graham

A little of topic though was wondering if someone can explain to me the differences between the left centre / right centre and also the left/right wing positions? Understood that passing different sides of the body, step off left leg etc though assuming 95% of the players have been playing footy since they were young (juniors), were they not taught to pass both hands etc? Would Hodges (and other centre's / wingers) not do the same job playing left centre as he would on the right? (their opposite sides)
