Exactly... games exactly like this we lost last year and yet this game we win 20+ and should've been more with better goal kicker

Now origin is done the players have nothing else to focus on except the Broncos.

I'm also seeing our defence improve... we've had injuries everywhere but I'm noticing our forwards are starting to win the wrestle in defence. There's an obvious effort to get players onto their back.

Our attacked clicked tonight through the forwards and TPJ. Our spine is all over the shop and despite Turps best efforts we dont really have a half back yet we're scoring points. I like that we're attacking through different means. It makes us dangerous all across the field.

Get some injured players back and some consistency in the team and we can keep building. I think this team has weeded out the bad apples and this team is starting to get some unison and comrardie despite their position on the ladder

Yep, it was all about the forwards tonight. They made the Dogs look like cheap hookers, I hear they're opening a new joint in the Valley later this month called "McCulloughs"

I only half kid, McC had some good moments tonight.

Having said that, lodge is not far behind him. People forget lodge is also nowhere near his peak yet. He's only 23.
So it will probably have to be one of or both of carrigan and flegler. Although they too aren't anywhere near their peak age. There's so many variables, and sooo much bloody potential in this pack.
I haven't been this excited about our future for yeeeaars. It makes this year easier knowing their is an obvious plan for the future in place that looks bloody exciting

They seem to be a tight knit group. I didn’t expect Lodge to re-sign, but it sounds like he did it in part because of the mateship he has with TPJ in particular and the culture he believes the Broncos are building.

However, I expect the NRL to try and break them up even if they want to take a pay cut to stay together, despite the club being responsible for their development.

Edit: from what we know Carrigan and Lodge have already turned down big deals to stay at the club. I’m sure TPJ had other offers as did Offa.

Clever coaching by Siebs basing our attack down the right side. Certainly caught the dogs out. It was so much a surprise by the time they adjusted Boyd was able to send Oatsy in on the left completely untouched.

Staggs is improving every week. Yeh he missed four kicks but again Siebs I think is trying to keep as much pressure off Isaako at the mo and it's obviously a good idea as I think he had a great game tonight. I actually thought he looked safe under the bomb.

We're building.

Oh and congrats to Macca on his 250.

Round 7 since we conceded 6 or less then before that I haven’t a clue. Looks like we are playing for each other and for the coach. In particular Lodge and tevita look like they want to repay him for those long term contracts. Nice one

Agree. He needs to concentrate more on playing football. Not just kicking goals. He has the ability to succeed if he applies himself.
 
I'm honestly not sure Gillett is in our top 3 second rowers. He might keep his spot due to our lack of depth at centre until sos and deaden are back though.

It's sad to have to admit but it appears his injury and absence have set him back a long way. Every other second rower in the team including Glenn are all outplaying him.
 
We scored 5 tries despite not having a single half in the team and Milford was off for almost 15 minutes. Imagine what we could do with 1 or god forbid, 2 halves.

Great performance from the boys.

More than fair assumption but I think he is. I’m not sold on tevitas edge defence when up against slick set plays from top clubs. He’d want to get back on the park soon though or fair to say he’ll be out of the top 3

Wow. We beat the Bulldogs (who were in it for more than half the game) it's still the same bunch of blokes that can miss 50 tackles in a game. I wouldn't be getting too excited.
 
Forwards all stood tall today. Combo of fifita and TPJ in the second row was awesome. They were just dangerous which gave room to the outside.

I know fifita prefered the right hand side but he looked dangerous cutting back in across the line. If only he had support on those occasions.

If they could make that consistent, they would have to be starters.

Also happy for isaako, macca, staggs and carrigan who i thought had their best match of the season.
