Interesting. Lee hasn't done much wrong. After the St George game I did think Hoeter might deserve a chance in that centre spot, but Brenko was pretty good against Parra.

Wonder if they just want to get Mariner a game this year, and coming up against the bottom team is the lowest-risk opportunity to do so.

That could be fair enough to be honest.

He was playing origin in Rd 13 when we had our bye, but got a rest the following round for his shoulder. During rep weekend he was playing for Tonga and then he played in Rd 17 and 18 when other players were getting a rest.

Hoeter seems like a guy that just always finds his way over the stripe. If we didn't have Oates and Cobbo as our starting wingers I'd happily give him a fulltime gig.
