Second Brisbane NRL Bid

I don't think we need a new team. I think we need a Sydney team (*cough*Sharks*cough*Rabbitohs*cough*) to relocate somewhere. Perth or Central Coast I don't care.

I DO NOT WANT another team in Brisbane until we NEED one. Agree with Rocky. Sunny Coast could do with a team, but not until they have their public transport and stadium fixed.

This looks like a publicity stunt to me. I reckon they're getting the attention they want and eventually will change to another mascot, which would've been the plan all along.

Move Sharks to Perth and a team in Sunny Coast or Central Coast. That's about all that is needed.
If there is another QLD team it can't be in Brisbane, that would be silly.

It's not going to be the same as hating the Titans IMO. We hate the Titans because they are inferior... and kinda pathetic.
This team will be directly trying to take over our market, our players and our fans. Not to mention having "Brisbane" in their name. I mean, even the Rabbitohs at least have "South" in their name.

Don't embarrass yourself by thinking NSW need another team FFS. Get a clue. Scrap relocation lets just cut 2 or 3 Sydney teams then we might be able to have a central coast team....

Gosford is roughly 1 hour away from Sydney, Gosford is supposed to be the base for the Central coast side... Not deserving of a side unless it is a relocation...

Don't embarrass yourself by judging it based on state lines. The Central Coast and North Sydney have a combined population of over 1 million, a strong league culture, a stadium ready to go, and no team representing them. It's a better prospect than putting a second team into Brisbane.

Rubbish, how is another team in the Sydney area better for the NRL???? Can't see the benefits for the game at all.

How is another team in Brisbane claiming to represent Brisbane a better deal? The people of Brisbane already have a team to rally behind.

I'd prefer a team in Ipswich or Central QLD before another Brisbane side. That said there is room for another Brisbane team before a Central Coast team IMO.

Why does everyone want more teams? The player talent is already spread out so thinly, soon the QLD Cup sides from a few years back will look stronger than the new NRL sides.

There's certainly room for another team in SE QLD. But the most important part of a team's identity is the region it represents. The Bombers bid offers nothing new to rugby league; it won't attract fans that the Broncos haven't already brought to the game. Brisbane residents who want to cheer for their city already have a flag to fly. Central Coast residents don't.

That is a myth... I am in favour is expansion but would prefer a relocation of a team to WA before we look into adding more teams... 16 is a good number... We need a team in WA and even in SA to make League truly a National competition.

Rubbish Beads. We don't need to expand for the sake of a "national competition".

National rugby league may as well be the nswrl the nrl is a joke

Certainly don't need a central coast side ffs.

I'm not really keen on the Brisbane Bombers idea. FFS, it's gonna be in Brisbane, we don't need another one! I'm all for the expansion of league but putting another one in Brisbane is a bad choice.

Once the novelty of the new team wears off (also depends if they do well too), the majority of league supporters would still be supporting the Broncos.

I don't see any benefit to the game of Rugby League in putting a team at the central coast given there are plenty of teams an hour down the highway. Expansion is about growing the game and helping the game earn more money. A Central Coast side won't achieve any of those objectives.

I agree with Rocky, Central Coast should have it's own team. Kill the Roosters or the Sharks and get the Bears running up there.
