The only bad thing about this article is the fucking suggestion of 12 more months of Boyd.

Make Lodge captain. Make the leadership group Lodge, Glenn, Carrigan, and TPJ + any established mature back if we sign one (e.g Townsend/Holmes etc).

Bring Hodges in as an assistant coach.

Most logical choice, imo. Super disciplined turning his life around. Good mates tpj, and will keep fafita and Haas in line.

The grog free ethos with Haas is a big thing, IMO, particularly if others follow.

Most important his temperament is spot on. Doesn't winge much, doesn't fall for the niggle, gets on with it, also taking first hit ups.

My biggest request is whoever captain we have that they don't chat the refs all night and question calls all night long.

Smith and Gallen ruined this game in this regard.

They could really play the reformed bad boy angle on this. Get him to take some players to groups with troubled kids etc. Publish the shit out of it and do it a few times a year, don't make it a one off.

Glenn comes off the bench when he goes off?
Carrigan at lock? Milford? Bird would’ve been a good option.

Yep, add Hodges and Wally Lewis to that list. Nothing fires up a team more than sending the captain to the bin for ten.
