so what was khoder's excuse?

- Mark Geyer's a dog.
- Sonny's only regret is that he couldn't tell his fans the real reason why he had to leave.
- "All will be revealed"

translation: we're waiting for weidler to make up a good sob story for us.

He didn't seem to have one. This is what I took from the interview (which, by the way, was conducted by Danny Weidler - not someone i'd choose to get the most out of a subject):

1: For a bloke that has probably made a lot of money out of Mundine and Williams, he's definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed.
2: He said "I am not authorised to speak on behalf of Sonny Bill", to which Weidler replied "so you are not his manager?" Khoder: "That's correct". So I don't really understand that...
3: Khoder: "Everyone's sitting here thinking about their own selfish needs, nobody is thinking of Sonny. In time we'll find out why he did what he did." Poor Sonny boohoo
4: Like I said, Mark Geyer is on dope so we can't take his comment seriously.

Just watched Weidler on the roast. here's a tip, Weidler is on a percentage of $bw's contract.

"He had to go, for legal reasons."

What the?

Something about this is so weird.

What legal reasons?? What legal issues has Sonny got with the Bulldogs? Surely it is the other way around haha

not weird completely planned and he has explored all legal avenues and this is the best way for him to avoid all the legal action

as someone wrote earlier i am now really worried about Hunt

We didn't get to see the interview in QLD.

Hopefully it's put on youtube soon.

I got the impression Weidler knew way before he 'broke' the story.

Yawn and lolz at all you Chicken littles

"The game is in crisis"
"the NRL need to act now" (what exactly does that mean? The NRL need to go to the atm tonight and pay anyone who has played rep fotball $100,000 extra for being top sports??)

Does anyone here remember a little thing called the Super League war???? News Falsh! We are sitting here still talking about....Rugby League! WOW! Do you people not remember when Sailor, then a year later Tuquiri, then Rogers all went to Union and suddenly we were on the cusp of all our elite players leaving??

Like I have been trying to say for a week; Just because the Nine Network Monkey Pack (aka News Limited croonies) say something, doesn't make it so.

I'm just happy most people have stopped talking about changing points from kicks

Coxy I missed the Roast today but saw a clip of Geyer on the news giving it to SBW - were they all as vocal?

Not really.

MG told Weilder to keep quiet as it was his turn to talk.

I thought MG was going to punch Weilder out at one stage. [icon_lol1.

Geyer was really pissed off I felt Johns had to bring up the S.L. thing and how much they were offered etc, but stayed with Knights cos of the team thing.
Crap Johns.Anyone else would have been onto you and your dope too soon.
At least Vossy told Weidler "Get down to what is the legal thing".Poor excuse given from Weidler as he tried to sound important as usual.

Hammo like it or not league is in deep shit. Mortimer has done his best to try and get the people up top to talk to the bloody AFL who know how to market a product and make money out of it.Will they listen? You can bet they will not as nobody wants to lose their jobs. There has to be ONE BODY.
Bennett said this on NRL on Fox years ago but he was just brushed aside as usual.

Get the fans back the way the AFL do. They treat them right.
I hate the game but gees they could teach the NRL and the rest a lot. They are our biggest threat in the whole deal. They have so much money and are moving into areas one would never ever dream they would have and they are succeeding.
Born and bred league kids are taking up their(AFL) game in areas that were once strong league country. It is so sad to see and we have to fight back.

Been watching league for a long time and it is not the game it once was. It is becoming soft and with all the Sydney teams many games are too boring to waste time on. They have to make teams merge or get out. Move some teams out of Sydney as cruel as it sounds for their fans who I would feel for cos would hate it if it were the Broncs.

I really felt sorry for the Dogs players today and especially Ryan. He looked really upset.

Lets see players for 100 years have been going to Union or other sports for better money and the game has survived.

I for one could give a rats ass if hes gone or not. I wouldn't give a shit if Lockyer or Hunt did the same thing, I would pissed off because of what they did to my club but not because we lost 2 great players.

Sonny Bill no longer plays Rugby League.......so, neither does the Great Wally Lewis, Allan Langer, Steve Mortimer, Laurie Daley, Andrew Johns Brad Fitler; yadda yadda **** ing yadda.

Now they may not have left the game for more money or to play another sport, the bottom line is they don't play anymore. The the game has gotten on without them, and it will when it happens again, and it will.

In 2, 6, 18 weeks time some young kid will be in the spotlight who we will all love or hate; and another and another. Sonny Bills are a dime a dozen people, every club has one its just how they are promoted to lemmings like us.

And if you people think this is a scandal just wait till he wants to come back and some club here takes him, now that will be interesting........

Sonny Bill Williams' departure a massive blow
by Andrew Johns.

DISBELIEF. That was my initial reaction to hearing Sonny Bill Williams was on a plane on his way to France yesterday.

I'm staggered by it to be honest. At the very least, it is poor form on Sonny's part.

He has turned his back on his club, his fans and most importantly, his teammates.

They'd be devastated and no doubt looking for answers.

He mentions Super League in the article.

Something I never thought he would say. [icon_ee

Everyone keeps saying it's all Gallops fault - news flash it isn't. Sure he and the NRL could do more to keep players happy, but this Sonny-Bail caper has nothing to do with him.

Fact of the matter is Sonny-Bill Williams was under contract with the Bulldogs that doesn't expire for another 4 years. He had no get out clause in his contract, meaning unless he asked for a release he was at Cantebury for another 4 years. What he did was unethical, immoral and a dog's act of the highest order.

If he had half a brain he would have asked for a get-out clause in his contract. What a dickhead.

As for Danny Weidler's hard-hitting interview with Choder Nasser, what a cop out. If Chode isn't Sonny-Bill's manager as he declared, then WHY THE **** DID DANNY THE DOUCHE INTERVIEW HIM!!! Fucking waste of my 2 minutes. No doubt Danny is going to think of a sob story for the dog ****.

This whole deal is bullshit. SBW, Chode and Danny should all go to France so we don't have to hear from them ever again.

Colors remain is the thing Tee. Of course there is always another kid out there to step up. Locky a prime example after all the carry on when Benny told Wally to walk.
Locky, Hunt , and I would say most players wouldn't sneak off like SBW did and kick the game in the teeth not to mention his team mates even if it were for money so of course it is going to be a talking point everywhere.
Media are loving it.
