Hodges injury doesn't look good. Could be a bit of a worry.

Probably ensures Michaels will keep his place as well.

They were saying it wasn't the ACL though so it's not a season ending injury.

Which, knowing the way Hodges usually recovers, will mean 8-10.

Throw-away game for the Broncos after consecutive get out of jail victories ... Storm with revenge for round two and a pasting from the bulldogs ... Bellamy's tourettes syndrome will be on double over drive on friday night ... Storm by 16

Hodges never back up so would have been out on Friday night anyhow. Tough luck with the injury but thankfully not season ending. Storm will get us in this one. Just heard Inglis may be injured though eusa_think

Izzy's young, his body is able to endure the punishment. Hodges is getting on.

Plus stories persist that Hodges just doesn't do the work in conditioning and rehab after injuries, so it's not really surprising he reinjures himself so much.

The next 4-6 weeks are really a write off anyway at club level so maybe it will give Hodges a rest and extra motivation for the back end of the season and the finals.

I think we can win the game but I'd prefer to see a few players rested and play it a bit safe during the Origin period. We have already lost Hodges for 6 weeks we don't need any more stars to go down.

At least that would give us an excuse for any loss that may occur, and Bellamy would kill himself if he lost to a baby broncos side - but we do take melbourne and our rivalry quite seriously and I'm sure Ivan's got something in store for this game....
