We've still got O'Sullivan at least. It is a bold move and that's what coaches live and die by, so let's hope it's a good one! The other clubs wanted Dearden first as well, Roosters wouldn't have taken Sam Walker if they got Dearden. We got the pick of the bunch at the moment, but who knows who will end up the superior player. I'm backing Dearden all the way though!

Personally, I think Milford and Dearden are going to work better than Milford and Boyd.

Once Dearden hit the scene, losing either Paix or T. Boyd was an inevitability. What concerns me is that he asked for an immediate release which suggests to me that all is not right at the club.
The Broncos have a checkered record in the Queensland Cup. Wynnum and Norths are travelling nicely, but Redcliffe and Souths Logan are struggling. Before Boyd's departure, Souths Logan had six Broncos representatives in their squad. Despite the high representation are 2-11 with no signs of improvement. That's an awful indication of the club's depth, especially at a time where the NRL side needs a makeover.
The other concern is that Sam Walker and Jake Simpkin, two of the most highly rated juniors, have taken deals at other clubs. In the case of Walker, he had Tom Dearden infront of him and the opportunity at the Roosters was simply too good to ignore. However there is a clear vacancy in the #9 jersey at the Broncos, so for Simpkin to take up an option elsewhere is a troubling sign.
The test for Seibold will be his capacity to re-sign Matt Lodge, Tevita Pangai Jr and Corey Oates. Both Lodge and Oates are expected to re-sign and Pangai Jr is more than likely to stay, but if that doesn't eventuate it will send alarm bells ringing.
Seibold also has to acquire new talent to help balance the roster better. So far his signings have left a lot to be desired with Richard Kennar, Shaun Fensom failing to impress and James Segeyaro finding himself in the doghouse for his DUI indiscretion.
It's far from the end of the world, but when the future stars of the game are taking up deals elsewhere, it's not a good look. Especially for a club that's on track to have it's worst season to date.

O'Sullivan is depth only and they see paix as a hooker.

Given Dearden's young age, and that Seibold has gone all in with him, we are pretty much stuck with Tom for at least a few years before we can genuinely assess him. So all we need is depth right now.
Pretty much the only conclusion that could be reached, when you're dropped from ISC to Colts and the Broncos aren't too upset well you know you're in trouble. Few years ago when the Jets did the same thing all hell broke loose.
Boyd just hasn't settled in to ISC this year, he looked much better last year in his few games. He had every advantage too- his own team at Souths that he's always played for and an NRL pack around him. He might be the victim of Souths having a terrible year but he hasn't had a good year. You can tell he has tried to be enthusiastic but Souths are not there with him.
Going home to the Coast and the Titans might be just what he needs, Broncos couldn't stand in his way and make him play Colts instead of taking up a top 30 deal.
Tweed will be a good match for him and I'd like him to play a few games there and find his feet with a younger enthusatic team. Jacks has done really well there this year and is now back at NRL.
Boyd and Spry might bring out a nice little combination for him.
Boyd I always felt didn't have a good base to work from. He could play the big shot but he couldn't grind an ugly win out and Dearden is more capable of that and mature.
Paix hasn't had a good year but is solid and learning and has better utility value of the three. I like that Paix is in a horrible team too but is solid.

Paix is playing at halfback and is only training at hooker on occasions to add a bit more to his game.
If we sign another half, they will only be depth as Dearden is regarded as the future so what exactly is the point of bringing in someone else when they aren't going to be overtaking Dearden and are only going to depth?
