Taylor

I've said it before and i'll say it again now ... coaches statements to the media are mainly BS ...

For Example ... Griffin once said that Prince would be number 25 on the roster, when we all knew it to be bullshit.

Henry may have just made his statement to either ensure that his halves don't get a big head and work hard during the pre-season to earn their spot... or because he is trying to justify the stupidity of offering Roberts the money they did

How much did they pay for Roberts? I think if he was cheapish then it's a good buy. Having Taylor paired with another youngster in Elgey and then Friend and possibly Hoffman making up the spine could be awful. If things go south or there's too much pressure on Taylor/Elgey then Roberts could be useful.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but i've been talking to a mate of mine who knows Ash, and apparently he is seriously regretting his move to the Titans. Don't know much more yet but he isn't a happy bunny from what i heard today.

I would be pretty unhappy too..

I mean, to go from Broncos to Titans..

That's a career killer.

Suck shit. Bloke obviously isn't that bright.

Make your bed, sleep in it. At least he will be playing in a "first grade team". Lol.

His move made more sense than JNik's at least. I know Titans are lolworthy, but it's still close to home, and in a side struggling for halves. Surely he'll jump ahead of a numpty like Roberts fairly quickly.

Kind of agree with that. Can't remember if he asked for a release or not from us tbf. They are apparently looking at another half back which would push him further down the pecking order than he was here.

When they signed Tyrone Roberts that was a concern but somewhat understandable they want an experienced playmaker (even if not top shelf) but I think the fact they are contemplating others shows they aren't willing to place much faith in him. I hope for his sake this doesn't come to bite him on the backside but the risk was always there when changing clubs that things won't turn out as expected.

Cant think of any decent half backs on the market tbh.

What's with all the criticism and hate directed at Taylor? Its not like he turned his back on the Broncos for the Titans. His preference was to stay around, however Wayne Bennett told him that he was ready for first grade, and that he wouldn't get an opportunity here with the likes of Hunt and Milford around, therefore he should look for a club who can provide him that opportunity to become a regular first grader.

What I don't understand is how there's more hate for him than JNik (who seems to get none).

I think people are more busy laughing at the fact that JNik left the club to get a crack in the NRL, but then signed with the Roosters where there is a high chance he won't play first grade..

i'd put him in on the bench straight up, he's explosive.

I'd suggest titans sack Henry, sign Walker brothers and entice Roberts back...

Think Walker style of play with players like taylor off the bench, Roberts in the centers, even hoffman could benefit, become an actual threat.

Titans need something. A reboot with the Walker brothers and sneer cronk for 2017 would be a boost.

He's highly rated for good reason. Good chance he'll play first grade next year at some point I'd say.

But round 1? Big call.
