Vossy is the only one that comes close to Warren. Gyngell and Hadley and the old boys hate him so that's that.

Now he's on Fox working for Murdoch, so there's that.
 
Roy and HG are awesome, their only problem is that you don't know what's happening sometimes.

Last night, Mat Thompson called a Broncos game for the first time this year. Although he's far from perfect, I thought he was easily better than Hadley or Gilbert.

Would everyone else be in favour of him becoming the regular Queensland caller for Channel Nine?
 
Yes I would, Gilbert and Hadley are awful, pretty much anyone is an upgrade. At the very least the commentary wasn't annoying yesterday.
 
Not a hard thing to achieve but anything better then Hadley or Gilbert is a gift.

At least he didn't talk for the sake of it and only called things when they should've.
 
As long as the lead commentator doesn't annoy me, I'm usually happy with them.

Thompson didn't annoy me, so congrats to him! I thought he was perhaps a little bland, but that doesn't really bother me.

Hopefully he gets some more of our games.

I thought his name was Mark Johnson for some reason.

Gould called Bennett, Clint Eastwood & Thompson said Eastwood recently had his 85th birthday & WB wouldn't be happy to be compared to him.

Thompson mustn't do much research, as WB loves being compared to Eastwood.

I thought Thompson was impersonating Marcel Marceau most of the game.
 
He was pretty fucking useless. I miss rabs calling our games. That's how shit the QLD ones are.

Even Gus was giving him ins to start talking, or in an attempt to make him actually say something, but he just wasn't getting them.

I guess that's a sad indictment of just how poor Hadley & Gilbert are. I'll even throw Rabs in there too. The senile old **** is really starting to shit me.
