for it to be an 8 point try doesn't the infringement have to occur after the try was scored. IMO, that infringement was in the act of scoring
 
Nah, has to infringe in the act of scoring. If he'd grounded it first it'd be no penalty. Stupid rule IMO, should apply both during and after scoring.

This also annoys the shit out of me.

Phil Gould is the biggest wanker in this regard, OH NO IT WASN'T ON PURPOSE SO LETS JUST IGNORE THE RULEBOOK then he proceeds to bag out the refs for FOLLOWING the rules properly.
Nothing wrong with the occasional grilling of refs when they make mistakes but I hate when they go on about the deliberate shit when it was correctly ruled.
