Tuquiti for ORIGIN???

Surely?!

For one, watching him play with Locky on the same team after all these years would be something special IMO.

Second, this wasn't some Joe Blow player - he was an awesome player in the origin arena and had a terrific 01/02 series.

I reckon left winger spot ouside GI.

2 cents?

I'll wait and see how he goes at the Tigers. He hasn't touched a football in years so he'll be overweight and unfit.

Why do people keep going on about how he is slow, unfit and over-weight?

Once he joins the Tigers he'll be getting fit, losing weight and OBVIOUSLY improving on his speed/strength etc.

Because he's not joining the Tigers until May? No preseason and he will be carrying that union bulk until he trims down.

Bingo! If he hasn't even played a game of league before May, having been out of the real game for what, 7 years, there is no way in hell he'd be up for Origin within a month.

Maybe 2011 if he shows some form, but seriously I think he's past it.

Nope, who would you get rid of. Also think they would be a couple in line before him.

I don't think it's very likely to happen. As everyone else has said, he's been out of the game for 7 years, and hasn't been training full time.

That said, should he come back and set the world on fire for the Tigers I would be more than happy to see him take Boyd's spot.

Didn't Crocker play Origin this year after having played about two games since last season?

Yes, and he'd played League for years before. And he still played shit in all 3 games this year.

Tuqiri's got soft sitting out on the wing in union, never running the ball, never having to tackle. He won't walk back into the game at Origin level.

Even if he hadnt left to play Union I think he would be struggling to play Origin next year. He will be 30 won't he? As a winger , Matty Sing is the only Queenslander to play on the Wing once he hit the 30 and he is a very different style winger then Lote.

Too Old, Too Slow, Too Many better options

What other options do we have?

Once we got a couple of backline injuries Michaels was put up as an option.

Boyd and GI, Hodgo and Izzy

leaves Tate and Tonga as back up with maybe Lote. Am I missing any?

I'd add Zillman

Definitely.

I've got high hopes for Zillman, before he got that injury at the Raiders he was electric.

Hopefully he can recapture that form.

Yep Zillman is one. If Kemp recaptures his Broncos form he would be a hope and then depending on how they develop after their first NRL seasons both Yow Yeh & Tomane also look like to have Origin potential

Yep.

And what about Kevin Gordon at the Tits? Is he a Qlder? He looks a prospect.
