Updated - Lockyer rules himself out of Manly match

Umm Griffin has already uncategorically said that he will play Gillett at 5/8.

If Lockyer is out, Hala to the bench, Gillett to run on
 
What a bloody circus.

If it's not true that's up there with the best of Phil Rothfield.
 
Makes you wonder...will this be playing at all on the minds of the young Manly halves? I wonder if Hasler's forbidden them to read papers, watch TV or listen to the radio this week. This circus has to be a distraction to them as well!
 
Now that report has changed to say he has ruled himself out.

This is a total circus!
 
Wayne Bennett would be sitting back loving this wishing he was part of it all...

I reckon they would've been told from the start what the situation was. There'd be no distraction to them.

So certainly playing next week if we win. Should be good motivation for them all.
 
Yep. Shattered that I may not get to see him play live again.

Credit to Locky for such an unselfish decision - no doubt he was desperate to play.
 
this is so ####ed :(

we need to get him out there as a "trainer" to organise the guys and stuff.
 
On a positive note if we happen to lose which is not likely. The great man would have finished his career in an epic and fitting way.
