Video ref and obstruction ruling received a work-out. There was contact by the video ref. (Luke Patten) deemed it didn't impact on the try. Hopefully that sets a precedent.

Souths win 28-10.

Dragons fought back to make it 16-10 but couldn't find their way over the line and Souths eventually put two tries on them in the end.

Thought Souths were fairly impressive. GI, Sutton, Te'o, G. Burgess etc. were all impressive. Sort of switched off at one point, but being a trial shouldn't be a concern.

Dragons have a bit of work to do. Don't think Fien should be starting and Vidot isn't a centre. Need to hope to god that Weyman & Hunt can find their fitness too because Henderson & Prior were pretty crappy up-front.

The far better team won the Rabbitohs were simply to good tonight. The Dragons really need Weyman and Hunt to regain fitness as their forwards struggled to make meters which was a problem last year. GI played a strong game while Creagh was the best of the Dragons imo.
