Winterstein, Kemp and Yow Yeh - Who would you let go?

OK guys like dragg and scott said - get it back on topic and continue your petty arguments by PM/MSN/Facebook whatever.

And for the record continued +ing is bloody annoying. I think if 3 people have already + something, that's quite enough and there is no need for anyone else to also do so.

+1

Does Kemp compare to Locky or Hodges?

Kemp is 1 of 3 great wingers at the club. Nothing is lost by allowing him to find his feet again in Qcup for abit.

Locky and Hodges both have been around long enough as well to know what it takes to recover from an Injury.

Why? He doesn't need to find his feet. He's been around the top level for years. Like, how well did he go in '08?

Kemp is not Lockyer or Hodges, not even close to being in the same class.

There's only around 5 players at the club who deserve unquestioned automatic selection, the rest need to earn it and Kemp is one of those who needs to earn his right to play top grade.

I'm not talking about automatic selection. I'm talking about finding the best wingers for the side, particularly given Winters has exited the Broncos, and, his recent form is ordinary. So I am saying give Kemp a turn, as well as saying that if he's 100% fit, he doesn't need to prove himself in a 2nd rate league, relatively speaking.

Kemp has been injured and i'm not sure he is even back yet. personally i think Kemp needs a few weeks in the QLD cup before playing for us. Winterstein hasn't done anything wrong, its just that ATM our attack seems to go away from him.

6 days late on the news, sad that AW is going to the Cowboys but I'm glad its a QLD club.

Good luck to him, Kemp/Yow Yeh will be a good long term combination.

Not judging by a lot of the anti-Kemp-brigade posts, like ning, the 2nd most negative poster on these forums next to me! [icon_wink

I am a fan of Kemp!!!

Agreed.

Winterstein is not playing well at all at the moment, time for a change

You don't change a winning side, although there is a few exceptions.
Same side next week unless Hodges is back.

However Winterstein has been fairly ordinary for a while now, wouldn't mind seeing Kemp given a go soon.

You do change a winning side if certain players are not performing.

Rarely, we have the won 6 out of the last 7 games. Not many coaches will change a side in form like that.
Players who are automatically selected are an exception, Kemp is not one of them and Winter has cemented his spot since last game 1 last year so he's not going to get dropped easily, even though I would love nothing more than to see Kemp in FG again :D

I doubt the team's overall performance has depended that much on Winters. In fact, over the last 7 weeks, I think his individual contribution has been average at best. Dropping him won't take much away, whereas adding some real strike power in Kemp might lift the team's overall performance.

I think the Eel's game has finally proved that. Winters to Qld Cup to prepare for the Cows. Kemp to get his chance to show if he is going to be our long term winger.
