So we poach the Rabbitoh's coach and they take ours. The we flick Kodi Nikorima to the Warriors. After that tack fails, we flick the Rabbitoh's coach and poach the Rabbitohs halfback. And now the Rabbitohs are poaching Kodi:

Kodi has been very average and with the Milford attempt and now Kodi, it looks like the club aren’t sold on Ilias.

Panic stations at Redfern, Kodi is not the answer to their problems. They’d be better off chasing a guy like Sezer.

No one would argue any of that but you said:

"He wasn't lying. The press was saying he'd come to terms with the Broncos. He was saying he hadn't signed. He wasn't saying he wasn't about to sign. Only that he hadn't yet signed."

So he had clearly already signed, the rest would have been normal process and cooling off period but regardless, he would have had to have clearly already literally signed.
We don't know and honestly, we don't need to care. I don't consider someone signed until the club announces it. It wasn't as if he denied he was on the verge of signing. Or he wasn't talking to the club or anything misleading.

Kurt did nothing wrong.

If you want to rip apart his honesty, you can go back over his account of that gay porno shoot. Or on second thoughts, let's not.

All hail Sezer. Sezer day.

Walters:

"The contract negotiation is out of my lane, but we expect to re-sign Te Maire for a couple of years He has been really good for us, he has been a great pick-up for us. I didn’t really know how quickly he could accelerate but he is playing good footy and since he has been at the back, we look a different team in attack, so he’s doing a great job for us.”

“We are really happy with what he has been doing in a new role for him at fullback. I can see at training and in games, the influence Te Maire has — he is helping Adam Reynolds with our spine and being more creative with what he does. His pass selection is really good and his skills are great, he has good acceleration and has the skills you need to be either a good fullback or five-eighth."
"He has also surprised me with his defence. His organisation in defence, too, is really good and when he needs to make a tackle, he is in there making them. He saved two or three tries for us last week by being on the ball and getting underneath the ball. Te Maire is doing such a good job for us at fullback, we will keep him there for the minute and let him progress as best as he can in that position.”

Ouch! I think Tesi’s recovery just took a huge knock.

Nice summary by Walters on TMM...the only person at the Broncos not happy with his last 2 weeks efforts at fullback would be Tesi.

I’m just glad Kev is seeing what everyone has, in that Niu is not the answer.

This will be my last post on the matter. I have not once raised the point about honesty and integrity. I couldn’t care less as we got him.

You argued he hadn’t signed the contract. Given he was announced less than ten days later, he clearly had. The rest is off topic, shifting the goal posts or semantics.

I`d be concerned if I was Ezra Mam .
Tyson Gamble is only filling in . Not the long term option IMO .
I can see TMM going to 5 /8 and Tesi back to #1 . I think he would be 5 /8 now if there was another full back .

Ezra hasn't even played a game yet, can't be too worried about whether or not he's concerned. He just has to be the best he can be and his opportunity will come.

Personally, can't wait to see Ezra I think he has that special magic - but I am happy to wait.

TMM ideally should be our 5/8 but we don't have a first grade standard fullback without having to go through the ups and downs of developing one in our first team.

TMM is basically our version of Scott Drinkwater, potentially with a bit more upside.

Ezra has that , these are not the droids you are looking for Jedi ability .
Looking fwd to seeing him one day .

I think Tesi will come back . TMM to 5 /8 . That blocks Ezra`s path for the time being .

God I hope not. Ezra is a far better 5/8 than Tesi is a fullback. I’ve got not problem with TMM moving to 6 but only when there is a better option to play 1 because Tesi is not it. I will be very disappointed in Kev if he brings Niu back into the team unless he’s had another stint in Cup and has proven he can organise a defensive line, catch bombs, or position himself. Tesi is not ready for first grade.

Interesting pattern starting to emerge regarding our points conceded this season and Tesi Niu being at fullback.

Average conceded: 19.6
Average with Tesi Niu: 26.4
Average without Tesi Niu: 8.3

Round - Fullback (points conceded)
Round 1 - Isaako (4)
Round 2 - Niu (10)
Round 3 - Niu (38)
Round 4 - Niu (20)
Round 5 - Niu (24)
Round 6 - Niu (40)
Round 7 - Martin (14)
Round 8 - Martin (7)

Why would Tesi come back and play fullback after what we've seen from TMM in comparison?

Because Gamble is a short term fix .
TMM at 5 /8 would be a lot more efficient .Less fwd passes, less intercepts , better kicks on the 5th , more effective tackler . Edges scoring more tries .

It`s only a matter of time before teams target Gamble . His 6-8 missed tackles a game will bite us on the arse sooner rather than later .

I wonder if there was any interest from the Broncos in Niko for the rest of the season at 5/8. He would have been a perfect foil for Reyno at the right price, in the Walker vein. Surely wouldn't have cost much.

I don't see how he fits in at Souths at all, unless maybe interchange hooker, or they are doing something silly like Walker to FB.🤷‍♂️

Do you believe Gamble is a bigger liability than Tesi?

If yes, would you prefer Tesi return at fullback or Mam get a shot at 6?
