THE NRL will kick off its 2010 season with an inaugural All Stars game on the Gold Coast.
An indigenous All Stars team will be selected for the February 13 encounter to play the NRL All Stars, coached by Wayne Bennett, at Skilled Park.
The match will mark the second anniversary of Australia's apology to the stolen generation, delivered by Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in 2008.
The indigenous All Stars team, which will feature players such as Johnathan Thurston and Preston Campbell, will be coached by Thurston's club coach Neil Henry.
NRL chief executive David Gallop launched the event on the Gold Coast on Wednesday and predicted it would be "the most spectacular showcases of playing talent the game has seen."
"Stars from every club will be represented in an atmosphere that will be unlike anything we have seen before," Gallop said.

Okies, Name your teams! I think it's a great concept. As long as we don't see too many injuries.
