Off-contract Ross wants three more years at the top

June 26, 2011
SOUTH SYDNEY prop Ben Ross says he wants to play for another three years, as he prepares to return to Shark Park after a neck injury that threatened to end his career and kept him off the field for two seasons.
Fresh from his man-of-the-match performance for the Rabbitohs in their 16-12 win over the Broncos on Friday in Perth, the off-contract prop said he was relishing the return to Cronulla as Souths, now equal eighth on the ladder, begin to build momentum.
''I was pretty happy about Friday,'' Ross said. ''I'm finally starting to put some good form together. I'm like a little kid again out there - I'm enjoying every minute on the field.
''I'm feeling good and I'm only 31. I don't want to retire for another three years.''

What are your thoughts? I know 31 is getting on a bit but he has had 2 or more seasons completely sat on his arse so his body should have a few more miles. I have not seen him play a bad game since he came back and I feel he is the type of unit that the Broncos have been lacking since McGuire got injured.
