I tell you what Wayne, if you wanted to finish your career with the biggest challenge you've ever faced, you are on the right track.
Forward pack is half decent.. 1-7 wouldn't even be a top Qcup backline IMO

Havent seen much of him, but Katoa is a huge talent apparently. Not convinced Tesi or Turpin will be there for them. As far as i am aware, Jake hasnt had an interest from any NRL sides right now.

Doesn't that speak volumes for where the club has been at. For the last few years Turpin has beenour first choice hooker unchallenged and no other club wants him.

He would still crack the Titans and Manly side. I'd be surprised if he doesn't get a gig, even just a go in someones top 30.

Any clubs that want him will wait until fairly late in the day I think when his value is low.

I think his value is already pretty low. Don't see him getting much more than 150-200k a year.

If they can get him when he's a bit desperate for a contract, they can more than likely get him on a minimum contract.

Shame for him really, but he can't even attract any interest from Super league either right now which says a lot about where he is.

If both players were available at the end of the season, who do you think gets more interest/higher offer - Turpin or Tesi?

Tesi. You don’t get paid to tackle. But both would get snapped up.

Why have you adopted this ridiculous footy bastardisation of ‘you don’t win friends with salad’?
Because it’s true. Attacking players earn way more than defensive. It’s not even a fair fight. Prove me wrong.

All players are expected to tackle. It’s a prerequisite of the job. Jake is the best defender at the club. No one gives a shit.

no, both are prerequisite which is why a player like Jake who can only do one, doesn’t get a good contract.

Another example is Matt Dufty who can’t defend to save his life and is now having to go to super league or why no one gives a shit that Niu can break a tackle.

I think it is even more simple than that, it comes down to age. Turps is unlikely to get any better, so he is at best solid depth now. For Tesi, he is still very young but still has considerable upside POTENTIALLY (there is that dirty word), so someone would pick him up for sure.

Yeah no. Poor defence you don't get picked. Become a prolific tackler and you make the team each week. But add some tries in there and your value goes right up. Like David Fifita. Did he get twenty billion for his defence?

Look at the top 100 paid players. 9/10 will be there for their attack. If not try scoring, then at the very least running metres.

Scoring tries = pay rise.
Making tackles = good on you, son.

I've read that Fifita is looking at a possible return and I wouldn't turn my back on him completely. But massive pay cut to his salary and alot more commitment to the club would be needed and I don't know if he could achieve that.
