I don't want anything to do with the warriors. We've played them twice this year and had all that silly banter with their fans. It's enough, don't overdo it
It's payback time for Round 18

Is Jake Turpin in the side this week?
Not really you've got that right. I didn't see anything live but from the quote that's not what he said or rather you've misinterpreted it.**** i dont know what results this weekend will need to happen for it but i hope we come up against the sharks in the finals and kmock them out...
Gallen just said bird made a mistake because sharks are a winning team that plays finals footy every year... hahahaha the broncos have missed the finals twice in 25 years and have the 2nd best win percentage of the last 3 years hahaha
He needs to quit boxing, his brain cells are quickly dissapearing....

Courier Mail are reporting Macca won’t play.
From all reports the players fully support Barrett and "hate" the owner/upper management.Hopefully the Manly players hate Barrett so much they just lie down for 80 minutes to give us a free 50 point win as a "**** you" to him.
I would say he's going to share time with Glenn starting. Excited to see the guy have another crack, he looked good last time.Guess Turpin gets another crack if he isn't injured?
Yes but you have to invent the link to the Broncos to accuse him of referring to the Broncos. I believe his response is more about the notion, the idea that J bird is choosing or would choose to play for any team in any situation that allowed him to get his hands on the ball more often rather than simply accept a role that helps a winning team. I think the selective quote in isolation was very much intended to illicit the response the writer got from you and the linkage that on an initial read could be made. Bear in mind Gallen may have said much more prior to the quoted lines and it may have been ommitted.“At the end of the day, everyone loves a winner.
“What would Jack rather do — play lock or five-eigth and score two or three tries a game and lose? Or play in a team that’s winning every week and playing semi-final football? That’s what you’d rather be doing.” Paul gallen
Mick Ennis is one of the more balanced of all the journo's imo. He seems to be one who would rather talk about the footy at hand and usually is quite honest in his upraisal of clubs, putting his bias aside.Thought McGuire did well at dummy half when he had to do it. Not a speed threat but I guess he a size threat to a retreating defensive line if he runs the ball. While on dummy halfs,
Michael Ennis has backed the Broncos to win the premiership from the bottom half of the eight
He didn't have us making the 8 at the start of the year. I hope he is right.
In general, the Fox coverage this year has not been great. Lots of sensationalised opinion and Ennis is the worst for it. Too many talk shows with different names. Controversy corner is the worst show. But there coverage of games is still better than 9 and reluctantly for this reason I will probably keep it.

I had read the article before I read your post. Yes, the very same article and I read the part that got you wound up my initial thought was the same as yours. That said I realized that selective quoting and omission can completely change the direction or intent of the person quoted. I don't think that Gallen was referring to the Broncos rather it was as I said, the hypothetical scenario to which he was responding.you don't need to invent any link to the Broncos ... Gallen refers to them.
head over to the Bird thread and read the article yourself, complete with Gallen's quotes
